A New Chapter Begins: Inside The Boost Pad’s Cohort 13 Information Session
A New Chapter Begins: Inside The Boost Pad’s Cohort 13 Information Session

Every cohort begins before the first class.
It begins with a question.
Could this be the next step for my business?
On August 18, entrepreneurs from across the Charlotte community walked through the doors of Do Greater Charlotte carrying different ideas, different experiences, and businesses at different stages of growth.
They came to learn about Cohort 13 of The Boost Pad's Next Level Accelerator.
But the evening became about something bigger than learning how a program works.
It was about what becomes possible when entrepreneurs find themselves in a room with other people who are building, questioning, learning, and trying to figure out what comes next.
The Beginning Before the Beginning
An Information Session may sound simple.
You explain the program. You talk about expectations. You answer questions. You share important dates.
But for an entrepreneur considering an accelerator, there is another conversation happening quietly underneath all of that.
Am I ready for this?
Is my business ready for this?
What could change if I had more structure, guidance, and accountability?
What could my business look like several months from now?
Those are the questions that make evenings like August 18 important.
For some of the entrepreneurs in the room, it was their first introduction to The Boost Pad. For others, it was an opportunity to better understand what participating in an accelerator would actually require.
Throughout the evening, prospective Cohort 13 entrepreneurs learned about the journey ahead—not simply what they would learn, but what they would be expected to do with what they learn.
Because The Boost Pad has never been about sitting in a room and collecting information.
It's about building.
A Room Full of Possibility
Every entrepreneur enters the room with something different.
One may be trying to understand their customer more clearly.
Another may have customers but still be figuring out how to price for sustainable growth.
Someone else may know their product inside and out but struggle to explain the business in a way that makes other people understand its potential.
There are entrepreneurs thinking about marketing.
Entrepreneurs trying to understand their numbers.
Entrepreneurs preparing to pitch.
Entrepreneurs who simply know that what got their business to this point may not be enough to get it to the next one.
Different businesses. Different challenges.
But one shared decision:
Keep building.
That is where community becomes powerful.
Entrepreneurship can be incredibly isolating. Founders spend so much time solving problems, serving customers, making decisions, and carrying the responsibility of their businesses that it can sometimes feel as though they have to figure everything out themselves.
The Boost Pad exists to challenge that idea.
You can be the person responsible for building your business without having to build it alone.
More Than a Curriculum
During the August 18 session, prospective participants were introduced to the learning experience that will guide Cohort 13.
They heard about the business concepts they'll explore, the practical work they'll complete, and the expectations that come with participating in the program.
But a curriculum is only valuable when an entrepreneur can connect it to the business sitting in front of them.
That's why the experience is designed to continually bring the learning back to one place:
Your business.
What does this mean for your customer?
What does this mean for your revenue?
What does this mean for your strategy?
What does this mean for how you compete?
What does this mean for the story you tell when someone asks what your company does—and why it matters?
Week by week, those questions begin connecting.
An entrepreneur doesn't simply leave knowing more.
The goal is for them to leave seeing their business differently.
Why Do Greater Charlotte Was the Right Place to Begin
There was also something meaningful about beginning this chapter in person at Do Greater Charlotte.
Entrepreneurship grows through connection.
Ideas become clearer through conversation. Relationships begin with introductions. Confidence develops when people have spaces where they can ask questions, test ideas, receive feedback, and learn alongside others.
Gathering prospective Cohort 13 entrepreneurs together made the experience tangible.
Cohort 13 was no longer simply a date on a calendar.
The people who may eventually fill those seats were beginning to meet.
The questions were being asked.
The conversations were beginning.
And another Boost Pad community was starting to take shape.
And This Is Only the Beginning
August 18 wasn't the start of Cohort 13.
But it felt like the beginning of its story.
In the weeks ahead, some of the entrepreneurs who attended will make a decision about whether they're ready to take the next step.
Others who couldn't be in the room will have one more opportunity to discover what The Boost Pad experience is about.
Our Virtual Cohort 13 Information Session takes place September 2, creating another opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn about the program, ask questions, and determine whether this is the right season for their business.

Then comes an important deadline.
Cohort 13 applications close September 4, 2026.
For entrepreneurs who have been considering applying, the window is getting smaller—but the opportunity ahead is significant.
And on September 16, 2026, the conversations that began during an August evening at Do Greater Charlotte will turn into something new.
Cohort 13 will officially begin.
New entrepreneurs will take their seats.
New relationships will form.
New questions will be asked.
Businesses will be challenged.
Ideas will become clearer.
And week by week, entrepreneurs will begin doing what brought them to The Boost Pad in the first place.
Building what's next.
The Next Seat Could Be Yours
There will always be reasons to wait.
Until the business is bigger.
Until the idea is clearer.
Until there's more revenue.
Until there's more time.
But sometimes growth begins before everything feels completely figured out.
Sometimes it begins by walking into a room.
Asking a question.
Meeting someone new.
And deciding that your business deserves your next level of commitment.
For Cohort 13, that next chapter is almost here.
