Honoring Excellence: Dr. Jasmine Weiss's Impact in Healthcare and Entrepreneurship

Achievements of Jasmine

At The Boost Pad, we take immense pride in the accomplishments of our community members, and today we are thrilled to spotlight one of our own—Jasmine Weiss, M.D., MHS, a standout participant in Cohort 4. Dr. Weiss has recently been honored by the National Medical Association for her outstanding achievements, earning a place among the 2024 Top Healthcare Professionals Under 40. This recognition is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and innovative contributions to the healthcare field.

A Leader in Healthcare Innovation

Dr. Weiss's recognition is not only well-deserved but also a reflection of her commitment to making healthcare more accessible and equitable through community-based initiatives. Her work goes beyond traditional healthcare delivery, focusing on creating sustainable and impactful changes in the communities she serves. Whether it’s through her medical practice or her involvement in healthcare advocacy, Dr. Weiss exemplifies what it means to be a leader in today’s ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

Entrepreneurial Success with iDream/B-Med Connect

In addition to her remarkable achievements in healthcare, Dr. Weiss has also made significant strides as an entrepreneur. In 2023, she was one of just fifteen entrepreneurs to be awarded a $10,000 NC IDEA MICRO grant for her business, iDream/B-Med Connect. This grant is specifically designed to support young, promising startups by providing the essential funding needed to validate and advance their innovative ideas. Dr. Weiss's success with iDream/B-Med Connect is a perfect example of how entrepreneurial vision, coupled with community support, can lead to meaningful and transformative outcomes.

The Power of Community Support

At The Boost Pad, we understand that achievements like Dr. Weiss's do not happen in isolation. They are the result of a supportive ecosystem that nurtures and empowers underrepresented founders in our city. Our mission is to connect entrepreneurs to this very ecosystem, which includes partnerships with organizations like NC IDEA and Techstars. Together, we create a network of resources and support that allows businesses to thrive and reach their full potential.

Behind every successful entrepreneurial ecosystem are organizations willing to invest in people with bold ideas. For years, NC IDEA has championed entrepreneurship across North Carolina by helping founders transform innovative ideas into thriving businesses through education, funding, and ecosystem development. The Boost Pad is proud to partner with NC IDEA in creating meaningful opportunities for early-stage entrepreneurs. During Cohort 12 Pitch Night , NC IDEA demonstrated that commitment by sponsoring the $5,000 Startup Currency Award , which was presented to Daija Peeler , founder of SevenSixteen. Presented by Sarah Mixter, Director of Ecosystem Engagement at NC IDEA , the award represented more than funding—it represented confidence in a founder's vision and belief in the impact entrepreneurship can have on communities throughout our state. Building More Than Businesses Entrepreneurship requires more than great ideas. It requires access to resources, relationships, education, and capital. NC IDEA continues to play an important role in helping entrepreneurs bridge those gaps by investing in founders at critical stages of their journey while strengthening the organizations that support them. That mission closely aligns with The Boost Pad's commitment to helping entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses through mentorship, education, community, and access to capital. Expanding Opportunity Every founder deserves the opportunity to pursue their vision. Through programs, grants, ecosystem initiatives, and partnerships, NC IDEA continues creating pathways that make entrepreneurship more accessible across North Carolina. We are grateful for their continued partnership and for their investment in entrepreneurs who are building stronger businesses and stronger communities. Together, we are helping create the next generation of North Carolina founders.
