⭐ 2025 Year in Review: A Season of Momentum, Clarity, and Founder Impact

Mark Babaran • December 22, 2025

2025 was a year that asked us to stretch, steady ourselves, and step forward with more intention than ever. And as we look back, one thing becomes clear: this community knows how to rise together.

Despite shifts in the funding landscape and the evolving needs of early-stage founders, The Boost Pad grew stronger. We refined our programs, expanded our team, tightened our mission, and positioned ourselves at the heart of Charlotte’s movement toward inclusive economic mobility.

Here’s what shaped our year — and what we’re building toward next.

We Graduated 30 Founders Across Two Powerful Cohorts

This year, we successfully launched and completed two Cohorts — each one filled with founders who brought grit, creativity, and real determination to the table.

Together, they:

  • Built and tested business models
  • Secured grants and new partnerships
  • Learned financial systems, marketing, compliance, and more
  • Connected deeply with our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and mentors

Every founder who walked through our doors strengthened the ecosystem Charlotte is becoming known for: a place where innovation is accessible, not exclusive.

We Strengthened Our Curriculum and Launched a New LMS

Growth required reinvention — and we embraced it.

In 2025, we refined and elevated our former 16-week program into a strengthened curriculum rooted in founder feedback, market shifts, and best practices. The updated program includes clearer learning pathways, better tools, and more hands-on support.

We also launched a new Learning Management System, giving founders:

  • On-demand modules
  • Assignments and tools
  • Long-term access to resources
  • A digital home for continuous learning

This upgrade wasn’t just operational — it was a commitment to making entrepreneurship more structured, more accessible, and more practical for emerging founders.

Our Leadership Grew — and Our Team Did Too

This year, we expanded our capacity in meaningful ways:

  • Welcomed new Board Members who bring expertise in entrepreneurship, finance, and community development
  • Added a new Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)
  • Brought on a new team member to support operations and program delivery

In short: we grew our leadership to grow our impact.

We Invested in Digital Infrastructure

Our website received a major upgrade in 2025 — with improved user experience, cleaner navigation, and stronger alignment with our mission and programming. We’ll continue enhancing our digital footprint in 2026 to better serve founders and partners.

We Reached 83% of Our Year-End Goal in Just Three Weeks

The enthusiasm and belief from our community were overwhelming. Reaching 83% of our $10,000 goal in less than a month was not only a financial milestone — it was a statement:

People believe in this work. People believe in our founders.

Your support directly positions us to launch our next Cohort in 2026.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re heading into the new year with clarity, momentum, and a stronger foundation than ever.

In 2026, we plan to:

  • Expand our team
  • Increase our public workshops
  • Grow our City and County and partnerships
  • Improve our website and LMS features
  • Strengthen our Cohort model
  • Deliver more accessible programming for under-resourced founders

Most importantly, we will continue doing what we do best: equipping emerging founders with the guidance, structure, and community they need to build sustainable businesses.

Thank You for Being Part of This Work

Every founder we serve, every partnership we deepen, every milestone we reach — it all happens because this community shows up.

2025 was a year of resilience.
2026 will be a year of expansion.

And we’re just getting started.
